Hair Week Day 2 - Yuko Kokoro G Shampoo and Treatment - Review

If you have heard of Yuko before it is likely to be for their hair straightening. What you might not have known is that they also produce a range of hair care products which can be bought from their online shop.

The Kokoro G Shampoo and Treatment are for dry, sensitised and damaged hair. They are a regular use duo and retails at £12.50 each.

Kokoro G Shampoo (300ml)
This is an SLS free shampoo but, unlike others I have tried, it does lather up. The formulae contains hydrolysed silk, keratin, sericin and algae to leave your hair soft and smooth. The scent is subtle and pleasant - a slightly orangey smell. This shampoo leaves my hair clean and light and doesn't cause any build-up on my scalp.

Kokoro G Treatment (240ml)
The treatment acts as a conditioner and contains keratin, sericin, algae, collagen, vitamin E and amino acids to keep hair soft but strong. The texture of this conditioner is unusual, it is a very thick consistency, almost like a face cream, and allows you to really smother your hair. This product describes itself as an intensive conditioner but I didn't really get the refreshed feel that I do from a hair mask or deep treatment. This is great as a daily conditioner for my hair as it frees tangles and keep my hair shiny.

The packaging of the products and sturdy and quality feeling but there is a slight downside.

Yuko is a Japanese company and the bottles come it's an English label. However this label is on top of cellophane and has to be removed to open the product.

Underneath the label the bottles are printed in Japanese so it might be a good idea to hang on to the English instruction and ingredients for future reference!
